Trying to remove flywheel
I'm trying to remove my flywheel with no air tools, I don't have to money to buy a compressor and air gun and new sockets. I was wondering if there is a way to remove the stock flywheel with just sockets and leverage. Also I'm tying to get the flywheel no to spin by placing a brick in between the teeth and the ground, but the flywheel just turns. Any thing I could to keep the flywheel from moving. TIA
get someone to hold the main crank bolt with a 17mm piece + a ratchet or breaker bar from the opposite side- then taking those 12mm flywheel star bolts out shouldnt be a problem at all.
the only way i got mine off (motor removed from the car) was with an electric impact and i just laid into it... it wasnt the easiest thing i've ever done... i'm not sure how i'd get it off without it... but i also tried without an impact of any kind and it basically just didnt work.
