Default How much work is it to rebuild a B18C1?

I obviously know it is a lot but I was wondering if anyone has done it and approximately how long it took them. I am referring to a complete rebuild. New seals, water pump, timing belt, thermostat, and so on. Also if anyone has done this does it make sense to replace the clutch while you are at it?

Thanks for any help on this subject.

BTW: apporximate cost of this project would be helpful too!

One day, if no machine work needs to be done, about a week with machine work. Yes, replace the clutch and machine the flywheel while it's out.

Cost - about $700+ with new clutch. (you do the labor)

ok. thanks

Should the distrbutor be replaced too? I bought the car with 113,000 miles so i don't know what has been done to the car. I am ASSUMING that the water pump, thermostat, clutch, distributor, have not been changed. And the dealer I bought it off of didn't know anything. I am basically at the end of these parts life span correct?

I have been checking out C Speed's website and it will definitely be helping me along the way.

Does anyone know where to get a kit that has the parts to rebuild? Will I be able to get all of this together from a dealer?

Thanks everyone so far.

if you are gonna break apart your engine you might as well build it up a lil better. my friend just spent ~$6500.00 doing a complete engine rebuild. he had thrown a bearing so he had to do it!
