Default steel braided lines

i was going to hide all mybrake ines cause i wanted to clean my engine bay up. so i was going to do steel braided lines from the MC to the prop and from the prop to the front brakes. and i was going to cut the hardlines that run to the rear right under the firewall and reflare the fitting onto them.
so my ? is what size are steel braided brake lines, and what are the regular fittings that go into the prop and mc called? and what fittings can i put on the steel braided that run to the rear that will atach to the hardline fitting (female fitting, like the threads of a mc)

why would u do that? The metal lines are ideal b/c they wont expand when u increase the pressure by stepping on the brakes. I guess changing it to steel braided lines wouldnt make a diference, but why spend the money and time to change something thats already ideal? If u gonna change the lines, change the rubberones from the calipers to the hard lines. U can even change the rubber clutch line to steel braid if u wanted.

I dont think you understand what he is saying. Hes wanting to hide all of his lines so if he uses semi flexable lines such as steel braided, he will be able to tuck them away under stuff where as the hard lines are where they are peroid. As for the idea...I wanna see it done.....I think your goin overboard cuz thats a lot of money just for a "clean" look

just take your hard lines to some place like earl's performance or any other shop that specializing in plumbing. they usually have all the sizes you need for something like this
