cost on registering 95 rhd hatch
Why dont you call your states DMV and find out? Probably the same as any other car........
You: How much does it cost to register a car?
DMV: $xx.xx dollars, we are open 8am to 4pm, come by any time
You: Ok thanks.
*hang up*
Here, I did half the work for you:

Now just find the phone #, and call them.

You will just need to get the engine bar certified(can get ugly) and change the cluster to mph for chp vehicle inspection. Also the srs system must be intact.
I dont remember exactly but the eg6 I had when I lived in japan had no evap system so you will need to get that and install it to get bar to certify the "swap".

emissions reasons. here in my county in TN, we dont have to go through that, so its all good, it costs too damn much to get one registered though!

All you need to do is vin swap from a 92-95 civic eg.. Put he vin numbers where they are suppose to be and just register it as a USDM EG6.
But if you have emissions, then thats another thing.

You need to change the JDM HEADLIGHTS, TAILLIGHTS, GLASS, DOORS, BUMPER SUPPORTS ETC. TO USDM. why?? because the JDM parts are NOT DOT/SAE/EPA/NHSTA approved!!!
The glass is actually dot approved. I looked into it when I tried to import mine. Every window had DOT and some numbers I dont recall the numbers. Its been a few years. I think the brands were lamisafe and temperlite.
The headlights do not have dot on them though but I wouldint change them unless they pointed it out. I really doubt they will say anything about the tail lights.
The the way the few eg6's were registered that I have seen were done as "rhd conversions". Grey market cars can sometimes slip through the system but you will run into more complications with making things legit.

if your talking about the bronze eg6 glass ... NO the glass is not approved to usa dot standards... i know because i had two full sets of jdm eg6 bronze glass ( windshield, doors, quarters, rear hatch) sent over from my cousin in japan.. and it was held in customs for 2 months before i could convince customs that its going on a display car and will not be on the streets of socal...
samething happens on tires. they check those too. if its not dot approved for the usa you will have to show proof its not going on a street car.

yea not sure, i havent researched if the non bronze is different or if things were changed in japan mid year on the eg bodies or what (as far as the glass, or the glazing on the glass) . but it was a bitch getting all that glass.

yea all glass has to have what kind of glaze was used to put on the glass, along with the dot readings...

oh, i misread that ****...i thought for some reason he was asking about insuring, not registering...registering would be your normal tax, title, tag (or tag transfer) fee...
