Default Probs with New Slave Cylinder

I just installed a new slave cylinder the other day, and now it's acting up again. When I leave for work in the morning the clutch pedal has a lot of "play", and will only engage when pressed way far down. After 5 minutes of driving, pedal pressure is normal. This problem only seems to occur in the morning though. Could it be temperature related? Did I not bleed the clutch enough? Maybe there's some air still in there?

check down under your dash where the pedal is if you see any fluid by the clutch pedal you should replace your master cylinder too, but either way i would rebleed your system, thats what it sounds like

Mine does the same thing. Starts out soft as a wet noodle, grabs very low, then after driving for less than a mile, it engages slightly higher and has way more pedal pressure. Have replaced both master and slave, and bled the system so many times I have lost cout...

It could be leaking somewhere else, such as the clutch damper location. Do you always have to add more fluid to the reservoir? It could also be leaking after the clutch damper, where the soft line connects to the hard line and slave.

The only way I was able to get my pedal hard after repalcing botht he master cyl. and the slave cyl was to push the clutch pedal all the way down and bleed the system with a power bleeder. I had to pull about 1.5 pintes of fluid through the whole system to get the pedal were I liked it, but now its fine. Hard as a rock and never looses pressure.
