mpfi swap crank angle sensor and iacv
well i am doen this swap still and ecu is throwing codes 14 and 4. what could some of my problems be. code 14 only happens after i start the car. it runs and idles fine at about 1000 but the idle never changes. o yea btw i have like 100 ecu pins i could sell
if you have time take some carb cleaner and completely spray out the inside of the iacv, i got the same problem....im just too busy to fix it....make sure its cold cause it has coolant running through it
I had the same problem with mine plus i was throwing 7 also. I had the wrong plug going into my IACV so that was easy. But i still cleaned it out with some carb cleaner just to feel confident. However, I am still throwing 4 and 7 and I tested the TPS and its runnning at the operating levels of voltage , I also tested the resistance between the crank angle wires and those turned out to be compliant within their operating levels and ideas for all these?

I'm pretty sure you have to swap the two outside wires on the TPS to make it work for the MPFI swap.

CHeck your wiring!!!!! By checking I mean remove from ecu and plug in and remove the new swap wires and reconnect them. I was throwing codes 4 and 14 and for four it was a wiring problem and for 14 i had the wrong plug going in the IACV. There are two plugs that will fit into the IACV try switching em and see if there is improvement.
