I have 98 GSR
My future mods will be ITR cams,cam gears,springs,retainers,skunk11 Intake Manifold,throttle body,and reprograming of my obd1 ecu to run the cams and IM.I'm currently running DC 4-1 headers.I think there crap.My goal with this car is mid 14's and a fun daily driver,i drive in an hour of traffic every day.And will have time to go to the trac here and there on the weekends.So I would like to have decent mid range power for daily driving and still have good top end.The only header i see that seems to sute my needs is the comptech 4-2-1.If not my second choice would be dc jdm 4-1.Any opionions or suggestions about this,because its gonna be a daily with some trac racing.

whats a skink11 instant messager for? (j/k) I know you meant skunk2 intake manifold. look into a SMSP (see great header test) I think their header runs around $500.00 w/a 2.5 inch collector. Personally I am going with the spoon header (~$850) which I believe to be the best road-race header, it provided the most gains from 3000-7000rpm without affecting top end like some true 4-2-1 headers (I autoX alot) so if you wanna spend around 500.00 or less go SMSP if you wanna spend 900.00 spoon (or toda - a close 2nd) -

edit - I just saw your car is lowered = may not be a good senerio for the spoon header since it hangs so low

Yea i have a 1.75 drop.My whole thing is,its my understanding the 4-1 give you better hp from 6 to 8k as to where the 4-2-1 is good threw 3 to 7,some people say the 4-2-1 gives you more usable hp,the 4-1 is for highly tuned rides that are tacking really high,and i don't plan to go any higher than 8200 with springs and retainers.So I know the setup i want,its just I'm not sure what header is the best for my app.This is a tuff choice.I would rather get better gains threw most of the rev range then just from like 6 to 8k.And one of the better 4-2-1's out there is the comptech.After further review the DC 4-2-1 is out of the picture.
