what is wrong with the SRS system that is causing the light to come on? Fix the problem instead of pulling the light......you do want your airbag to deploy in an accident right?

I thought I head somewhere that the 96-98 civics had a recall advisory or something like that... for this very problem. In fact I sold a buddy of mine a 96 DX and he said he was having the same problem... not sure what came of it, but I think he was going to take it by Honda for a free service/update of some sort. ? But, yea, try searching on the issue as well...

Reset the light and see if it comes back on, if at all to rule out a fluke. If it returns, trouble shoot from there.

if you have fitted a non-airbag steering wheel then the srs light will stay on regardless... this happened when i did a steering wheel swap on mine.. all you need to do it take out the dial cluster and remove the srs connecters from it.. its the orange clip with 2/3 wires connecting to it, roughy the bottom centre of the cluster.

works a treat

Thats a good idea, who needs warning indicators anyways?

Did the light come on randomly, or did you install something/change something within the car that made it come on?
