Cleaning solvent?

Is there any carbon cleaning solvent that is safe to put my valves into overnight to get them cleaned up?

hmmmm dunno..i just used a wire wheel too clean it up and then sprayed it with non clorinated brake clean

i used some oven cleaner in the exhaust ports, worked wonders

Another possibility is Permatex Gasket Remover. Although this spray might have a hard time removing many gaskets, it seems to do a GREAT job at removing carbon deposits.
