What type of head would be best on a dx bottom block?
my cousin is planning to just swap the head on his dx crx.
What head would work best in this case? He said he wants
to put in a Vtec head. but he still aint sure. Any suggestions...
Thanks guys

DX ecu wont cut it..
You will have to do mpfi swap first..
And if you use the z6 head you will have to convert your car to obd1 and get an obd1 vtec ecu(p28 is best) and add the 4 wires to the harness for vtec..Im sure you can rig up an 88-91 si/hf distributor on the z6 head to stay pre-obd but its better if switched over to run good..
The 88-91 hf/si distributor fits perfectly onto the y8 head though..So you can stay pre obd and either get an pre-obd vtec ecu or get a non vtec pre-obd ecu(87-89 teg,88-91 si etc).. and an external vtec controller
