why would this happen?
so i have a b16a2 with usdm itr pistons. that said i was at the track on wed night and on my third pass i blew up my motor, i was at about 8100 rpm when i shifted and it detenatoded (sp), we went and pulled the head off and found that ALL of my exhust valves bent just that nothing else was hurt by it. anyone know what might have happened? thanks

why is that so, you say with thoes pistons its easy to misshift? how do those pistons make it easier to misshift. i didnt skip any teeth on my gears, unless i skipped them all because the belt and everything was at top dead center. dono thanks for all the imput
not having the pistons makes it easy to mis shift - he's stating that if you mis shifted and have those higher dome pistons it's easy to bend valves.
less margin of error with usdm itr pistons in a b16a2 than stock pistons is what he's saying.
i did the same thing at the track, went from third to fourth a little high in the rpms and dropped a couple of valves. that's racing
