idle question
i was just wonder what the idle speed for a 00 civic should b. my repair manual says 450 to 500 but that seems kinda low, and right now i'm idling at about 900 -1000,
450 to 500 seems a little low for an idle. My civic stock idles at about 600, but with the adds like exhaust and stuff your idle will drop, my idle cold is about 2000rpm but once its warm is about 500
the only mod i have right now is an intake, a while ago my engine light went on, and when i took it in they said it was the iacv and they fixed it, car runs good and everything so i guess its nothing to worry about.
yea my idle gets jumpy as soon as it warms up..
in the mornig ill start it.. and ill be in my house waiting(on cold days).. and i know its warmed up as soon as the idle starts goin eratic.. haha
replaced coolant temp sensor.. iac... also cleaned it..
i take out the sesor in the IAC and the idle goes normal.. i put it back on and it goes crazy.. is it the IAC again? i never drove it with the sensor hooked up.. i dont think u can.. can u? prolly drive like ****

Need to replace the idler control sensor on the back of the intake manifold. Had that problem too, pissed me off, everyone always thought I wanted to run them becauswd it sounde like I was reving my engine at them.
