Do I need pistons for my NA H22
I just put a h22 with a skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body into my 94 accord. With my tax return and money I saved up I want to build my head with valve springs retainers stage 2 cams, P&P. So the stock motor has 10.6/1 compression. I thought about buying type s pistons but I'm not sure about what type to get. There are type A or B and over sized. I know that if I get the A or B type they just drop in, or is boring it out to .25 over worth it? Also I heard that it weakens the stock sleeves. I also thought of just leaving the bottom end alone and buying a new head gasket that could make it 11/1, would that be enough compression to make the cams preform decent?

you cant run forged pistons on stock h22 sleeves genius.

You shouldn't be trying to make more power by using a thinner headgasket.
I would do cams and an upgraded valvetran with Hondata before I ever
messed with the block.

you bumped this to say that
Are you trying to say your motor has been resleeved?

Yes the h22 has a composite cylinder wall that is not compliant with a forged piston.Mahle pistons make a few h22 pistons with a special skirt coating that will work with the stock cylinders, but they are a little pricey (although cheaper than sleeving).

Links please????
As to stay on topic, type-S pistons would be okay, but not neccessarily worth the money IMO
