GSR into 88-91 civic 3door help
Whats up HT just a question, im going to start my friends motor swap (2001 gsr into his ef hatch) im asking for help because this will be my first legit swap. i have knowledge of what goes were, but if someone can hook me up with some sort of installation guide i would really appreiciate it. and the whole obd2 motor with the obd0 harness and electrical system has me confused
, i mean how do i convert everything over. i also noticed that his car has only two injectors and the wiring, what can be seen, seems to be missing sensors compared to a gsr harness of course.
thanks in advance

You need to do the dpfi to mpfi swap first:
http://www.fourthgenhatch.com has a good write up.
As far as the OBD2 conversion I would look into running the motor OBD1.
Of course you probably know you need a mount kit...drivers side mount bracket, shift linkage etc.
Good luck with the swap. Hopefully someone who ahs more experience with the OBD2-OBD1 swap will chime in.

to convert you need to buy a obd2-1 conversion harness. blown 90 hatch makes them i would get in contact with him.you also need a obd1 distributer,ecu,4 wire o2 sensor. im no sure if you could use your ecu or not. if not just get it chipped.your also going to need a modified **** linkage from a teg and your stock one, you can cut it in half and weld them together or buy a pre made pne.
You can use your obd2 injectors no resistor box needed, use a v-tec obd1 dizzy, a obd0-obd1 ecu conv. harness with a obd1 p72, then wire up the v-tec, knock sensor, and 4 wire o2 sensor. Use your obd0 Dx engine harness that you first convert to MPFI, then change and add wires to run the obd1 gsr motor that you converted to obd1.. get some b-series hydro-cable mounts from HASport, a rear "L" bracket from a '90-'93 teg and a driver side bracket also from a 90-93 teg, some b-series swap shift linkage for a 88-91 civic/crx and 90-93 teg axles and mid shaft, then do about 10 hours of wireing and you should be about done....
P.S. Do your self a favor and buy a skunk 2 IM and and eliminate the butterflies

LOL....all this confusion.
Keep the OBD2 distributor, 4 wire O2 sensor and injectors. GEt an OBD1 ecu....(P72 or Chipped P28) and an OBD0-1 conversion harness. You will need to convert your dx harness to MPFI first. You can get an OBD0-2 distributor jumper to simplify that wiring. All of the extra sensor wiring will be in the OBD0-1 harness. See here please:
