Default After Motor Swap.

I just finish my motor swap, Zc into a 90 hf. The end result sounds weird. When i rev the engine, it's seems to be making tapping noises ( tap tap tap tap )
What could be the problem?

I put the radiator fluid in, oil also. Only thing that looks weird to me was when i pull out the axle, there's this yellow gooey liquid that spill out. What is that? Transmission fluid? And if it is, Do i need to put it in? And where is the hole to put it in from!? I know that might sound stupid but i have no clue to wheater it's transmission fluid or not.

coming from where.....Out of the tranny hole where you put the axle butts up with it... It might be tranny fluid, but yellow gooey **** doesn't sound too good. and what's the tapping noise......Just reving is taps as the rpms come down? or us you go up. You better hope it's not a stuck lifter.

For some reason rod knock came to mind. But check the valve lash first since no one here and actually hear the noise. So u havent filled the tranny with fluid yet?

make sure you do tranny fluid...it's dire....I almost lost my gsr tranny to it.
Yeah i did that in my Eclipse, "KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK" and it only got worse, until i seized the motor and then rebuilt it.
Does it sound liek something on the inside is htiting the V.Cover?

I think that tapping noise is because i haven't put any tranny fluid? when i put back the engine, all i did was rill it up with radiator anti freeze and plug in all the harness plug and started the car. It didn't sound the original sound. . .

Fill all your fluids, check your valve lash.

If it doesn't go away after this it could be rod knock which isn't good and it will need a rebuild.

Time for u to go buy a manual. It will explain the valve lash thing, checking and adjusting, step by step.
