What exactly is considered "smog equipment"?
Sorry guys, but I've mainly worked with older engines in the past with carbs, not efi. Passing a smog in the past usually involved the right negotiating skills, if you catch my drift.
Anyways, I'm thinking about dropping in a JDM motor into my 94 EX and want to know, what does it mean to have "all OE smog equipment in place"? I've searched on how to get it BAR certified, and have a pretty good idea of how to do this, but what parts are considered "smog equipment" on a USDM motor?

Other than try to list all the items required, it's easier to just say that ALL of the items that have vacumn lines or water lines attached to need to be present. All of the sensors that would be on the USDM unit have to be there.
