I have a 1990 civic si I just swapped the motor to a built d16z6 with a frog wirring harrness then had a turbo installed right a way so I have never been able to hear the vtec kick in, cause of all the other noise, and i have no codes. I am getting on a dyno in the next couple of weeks to tune my E manage so I want to make sure everything is working fine before doing the timing and fuel adjustments.
everything was cleaned before putting the motor back to gether and my oil presure is correct. just not sure about the solinoid itself and the wirring.

 

What is your question? Did you want to know what VTEC sounds like, or if yours is wired correctly?
