Transmission makes this squel noise
When stepping on the gas normally it doesnt do it but if you step on it a little more, giving it more power the tranny makes this weird *** squel noise. I am pretty sure its the tranny because its coming from the right side so its not the belts or anything... anyone know what this could be?
what kind of car/transmission do you have? is it automatic or manual? well if its and automatic there is something called a CVT (contiuously variable transmission) this kind of transmission uses a set of pulleys and an extremely tough rubber belt with metal threadings or a chain belt (like the timing chains on old ford and chevey v8's) if the belt starts to slip and get old then it could possibly make a squeal like you say but i dont know how likely it is that you have that kind of trans. on regular transmissions id think that the trans wasnt the prob. get more details on your car info and ill try to help you more.

Agreed, otherwise there are millions of possibilities.

It happened to me after i put in my clutch and fly wheel. I think its just the friction between the disc and the flywheel. If you time it right you can avoid the sound. Nothing bad has happened, heard its normal if you have bronze pucks on the clutch. if its an organic disc it may be a different problem.
