Default Need help diagnosing noise...Bad timing belt tensioner?

A few years ago I had a h22a swapped into my 96 Si. I have only put about 10k miles on it since, so it is around 50k miles. For a while it has been making a noise at about 1250 rpms, most noticeable right after I start it. The noise is slowly getting worse. It sounds kinda like a bad bearing noise, a screechy rattling noise. When I had my h22a put in, my mechanic left on the timing belt auto tensioner, even though I told him to use the manual tensioner from the h23.
Here is a link to the noise.

That's the first part of the problem. Not sure if it is at all related, but after my motor gets warmed up (usually starts after driving for 15-20 minutes) it makes an annoying high pitched squealing noise at about 2500-3000 rpms. It does in when I hit the gas a little, and only makes the noise if I'm in gear. This noise sounds more like a belt noise and is higher pitched than the other noise.

I have removed my power steering belt, got an AC delete belt, and have tried a different alternator. Neither of these have affected either noise. Any ideas what my problem could be?

Nope it's not the dizzy...It's coming from the drivers side in the alternator/timing belt area

Pull the covers and check or just pull the tensioner and spin it. If it is the tensioner the last thing you want is that thing failing.

Are these sounds I'm hearing symptoms of a bad tensioner? It doesn't sound the same as other videos I've watched of failing tensioners. Also the motor only has about 50,000 miles on it...can they fail with that low of miles?
