Oil leak
I replaced valve cover gaskets this morning and then cleaned everything up. Side gasket was definitly leaking. Top looks fine now.
Leak continues though. Oil pan gasket has beads of fresh oil on each bolt...
Before I proceed with replacing the oil pan gasket, is there a way to no for certain that this is where the leak is? I'd hate to replace the gasket and find that it was actually something higher up.

Yeah that would a real pisser if you found out you fixed the wrong leak
Drop a few quarters at the local carwash to blast off the sides and bottom of the engine.[remove the lower shrouds] Then by the time you drive home the engine heat will have cooked off the water and the source of the leak will be easier to find. An old geezer plumber once told me that liquids run down hill
