i had the windows on my white hf done with 20%, i think it was. it looked sweet, really set it off, and the strip across the windshield was a lifesaver with the sun, but the company messed it up and it had bubbles and dirt under the tint. i took it back to get it fixed, and the lazy bastards just took it off and gave me my money back, didn't wanna mess with it. but, it looks really good just plain black, but hard to see out of the windows at night, but i noticed the decreased heat in the two days it was tinted. go for the tint, but make sure its done right

If you want your interior to cool down then get some tint. I'm sorry, but I don't see the dilemma here. Oh, and please don't try to do it yourself, unless you have professional experience. It's a PITA.

tint is a nice addition to a ride. Not to mention as crxdriver mentioned it does help to cut down on the heat of the interior of your ride.
I know as I have had my ride 5% all around w/ 70% over the entire windshield,love that for night driving and rainy nights, and that was better to get into in the hot summer then not tinted at all.
Good luck and let us see some pics once you get it done. Just remember though the darker it is the harder to see when backing up at night..lol

I wouldn't get cool chrome. Just normal black in a legal shade.

I tend to agree with EF_VTEC, tint is just another unnecesary excessory or however you spell it

its spelled accessory, i stopped by one tint place, and they quoted me 120 for 5 windows for any shade. i thought it was pretty high, but it comes with a life time warranty. im gonna shop around some more and see if i can find any better deals with warrantys too.

I love my window tint, ive got 20% all the way around. Use amonia-free window cleaner to keep from damaging your tint. I recommend Stoner Product's Invisible Glass

It ran about $120 for my sedan, and after 2 years the tint has yet to fade. With driving in Floridian Sun, I detest any car without some type of windshield tinting.

You guys must not live in hot climates. Out here in sunny Tucson tint make a fuckload of difference. It's one of the best mods you can do. Summer without tint sucks

I wanna tint my daily hatch and its red. Just dont have the cash to fork out right now. I think it looks really good, but i wouldnt do it on my crx though.

I'm really considering picking up a roll at AZ and trying to do it myself. I know its a pita and rarely comes out "good", but i just wanan try it, call my crazy

Anybody buy anything from these guys;

http://www.tintkits.com/Script...y=981

They have a precut kit for an 88-91 hatch for only $49.95. I might try one for my Civic.

most cops around here dont really trip off the 2 fronts being tinted as long as its not super dark. do you think 50% is dark enough?

IMO anything above 30% is a waste of money. My eclipse has 25% all around and it makes a nice difference. When you go to get them tinted the shop should have glass samples at different percentages. Just take a look and decide what you like.
