What do you guys think of tint on a red hatch?
Summers just around the corner, and i have no a/c, and the ghetto pleather seats in my hatch, i was thinking of getting tint on my windows to keep my interior a little cooler, what do you guys think? black, chrome, no tint? flames accepted!
i had the windows on my white hf done with 20%, i think it was. it looked sweet, really set it off, and the strip across the windshield was a lifesaver with the sun, but the company messed it up and it had bubbles and dirt under the tint. i took it back to get it fixed, and the lazy bastards just took it off and gave me my money back, didn't wanna mess with it. but, it looks really good just plain black, but hard to see out of the windows at night, but i noticed the decreased heat in the two days it was tinted. go for the tint, but make sure its done right
If you want your interior to cool down then get some tint. I'm sorry, but I don't see the dilemma here. Oh, and please don't try to do it yourself, unless you have professional experience. It's a PITA.
tint is a nice addition to a ride. Not to mention as crxdriver mentioned it does help to cut down on the heat of the interior of your ride.
I know as I have had my ride 5% all around w/ 70% over the entire windshield,love that for night driving and rainy nights, and that was better to get into in the hot summer then not tinted at all.
Good luck and let us see some pics once you get it done. Just remember though the darker it is the harder to see when backing up at night..lol

its spelled accessory, i stopped by one tint place, and they quoted me 120 for 5 windows for any shade. i thought it was pretty high, but it comes with a life time warranty. im gonna shop around some more and see if i can find any better deals with warrantys too.
I wanna tint my daily hatch and its red. Just dont have the cash to fork out right now. I think it looks really good, but i wouldnt do it on my crx though.
I'm really considering picking up a roll at AZ and trying to do it myself. I know its a pita and rarely comes out "good", but i just wanan try it, call my crazy

Anybody buy anything from these guys;

They have a precut kit for an 88-91 hatch for only $49.95. I might try one for my Civic.

IMO anything above 30% is a waste of money. My eclipse has 25% all around and it makes a nice difference. When you go to get them tinted the shop should have glass samples at different percentages. Just take a look and decide what you like.
