Default Replacing wheel studs?!?

I got a good deal on the skunk2 extended wheel studs so I am going to put them on my car. That way it looks like a chariot and I will chop off peoples knees when I drive by. To replace it, I understand that I need to remove the hub from the carrier, correct?? What is the best way to accomplish this?? Another concern is that I have heard when you remove the hub from the carrier, the bearing might become an "unsealed" unit which is not good. Is there any place to get the 98 Spec-R bearings in the us off another Acura or Honda car?? If not, I guess I will just stick to stubby stud..

ceas..

should not have to remove hub from steering knuckle... remove caliper, rotor, and bash studs wif BFH.

I replaced mine with longer studs but I didn't need to pull the hub. The studs slid in by just removing the rotor. But if your studs are too long (mines are 10mm longer), then you might need to pull the hub apart.

I'm assuming you're 4 lug brakes, right?

If so, you can do the studs on the car. Grind away part of the back circle of the stud so it can get past the hub unit.
Use a big hammer, repeat.

Just as a warning, someone asked about the quality of the Skunk2/Z.Speed extended wheel studs on the EG forum and they got an awfull review. Someone said they stripped after 2 months. Dont want you to go through all that hard work for nothing.

Out of 20 I have snapped 6 and have stripped 4 more.
Lugnuts seem to GRAB onto them even with antisieze.
I had to cut the stud with the wheel on the car!!!

My recommendation to you is to sell them.

ARP is the way to go in this case it seems.

What lugnuts were used with the extended wheel studs when they snaped? Aluminum?

nah, the studs ate the aluminum ones quickly.
these were all stock steel nuts.

Flip it over, put a large socket in it and beat it with a sledge hammer.

THen get a hydraulic press to reassemble.

spindle popped out of the hub??
spindle/knuckle is the whole arm.
