Default burning oil during VTEC

my GSR burns a ton of oil in VTEC. i know its normal for most honda's, but my car burns like 1.5-2 quarts every 2000 miles. i only notice it during 1st gear around 6,500rpm. its completely stock, but it has about 185,000 miles on it. is there anything i should check for like compression, valve seals/adjustment, etc...?

most likely its ur valve seals but un need to do a leakdown test to see for sure.

i pulled my plugs out and they dont look like its running lean, but could that even cause it to burn oil anyway?
