I previously posted this in the Accord forum but got no reply, can anyone here help?:

What is the difference in a JDM F22A and the USDM F22A1 SOHC VTEC motors? Is the compression ratio any higher? The reason i ask is because my friend has a F22A (not in his Accord) and is not sure how much hp it makes. Everytime we ask someone the answer ranges from 135hp to 150hp. Also he was thinking of boosting it. Any info would be appreciated.

I've been gathering bits and pieces from different sources but anything verified by multiple people I considered...so it may not be entirely accurate, please correct anything thats wrong if you know for a fact.

F20 B has 11:1 cr... And I have never even heard of that prelude... a SOHC non-vtec 2.0L that makes 130 hp and 180 lb/ft of tq??? I think you mixed your info up there buddy...

F20a4...I've never heard it either but apprently it exists, possibly a 3rd gen prelude or some weird jdm. Also the F22Z is out there, specs unknown.

third gen ludes have b series engines.
the f22z is probably som sort of factory warranty replacement block, i think that is what he z series indicates.
