New Supercharger in the works for the S
I copied this from another forum.
Honda S2k ownwers, I make a unique supercharger of the axial flow design. This is the same sort of air compression used in jet aircraft. If you've ever looked inside the inlet of a modern jet engine you've seen an axial flow compressor. They are the most efficient form of compression that is know, by far.
In test with my V-8 size we have produced double the increase of competitors.
This is a very hard device to design and build as you can see by the pictures.
That is why it is not a commonly used method of supercharging. However in the last three years we have developed a method of manufacturing these that we can produce them at competitive prices.
At the moment we are finalizing the Mazda RX 8 blower. You are welcome to go to the Rx8 club.com forum and follow that thread. As it turns out the Mazda compressor section fits the airflow requirements of the S2k. With that discovory we think it might be a good thing for us to investigate this market.
Having found right away a forced induction thread, that answered the first question. Next is to look at the adapability to the car itself. Over the next few weeks we will be delving into the nuts and bolts of the Honda to decide if we go ahead with this.
Your needs and opinions will be important to us in making this decision.
Sorry I'm new to your forum and I am having some trouble getting photos in. Until I figure it out you can use the Mada forum for reference. In there you will find some helpfull math and theorys for supercharging. Eventually these will be posted her if we decide to go this route.

That is absurd. This is no reason why a supercharger would more reliable than a turbo.

a supercharger is more reliable then a turbo.... i'm not going to state the facts of why.... unless i'm asked to... i just simply stated my statement.. and if you didn't realize... we are saying all this in fun and games.....
no reason for you to come in here and be all agressive...

Agressive..? How was I agressive?
But do please state why you think a supercharger is more reliable than a turbo.

In the S2000 community, it has been proven that S/C are much more reliable. I have yet to meet a turbo owner who's car runs perfectly. Everyone has problems here and there. Now those problems could be solved with a great great tuner and a good ecu.
BTW I dont want this thread to turn into a turbo, s/c debate.

hahahha jacksons threads never get whored.. heheheh
for this reason i will not state my reasons as to why superchargers are more reliable.....

SC's on a s2000 are more reliable. its been proven over and over again. if you go turbo, its gonna be one issue after another.

hahaha. nah jsut a waste of time.. i think he'll get the clue to go back to his integra forum after 3 people have already stated that superchargers are more reliable.. hahahaha....

well back on topic.... the link doesn't work anymore... i checked it out the other day but didn't have time to read all of it.. and well there were no pictures of the supercharger at all....
dunno.... didn't see any dyno sheets or anything for that matter.. just the guy talking about the supercharger yada yada.. and what it could do ... just thowing out a bunch of tech...
There's a reason why SC's are more reliable- they make less power!
I've been watching the development of this SC since before I bought my S2000. He's been on the RX8 boards for quite a while and there seems to be a lot of tech and development behind this.

another reason is tuning seems to be an issue
