I installed a Comptech tie/sway bar. 2 weeks later there is an occasional noise from the rear (suspension?). All the bolts are tight to spec torque. It was at the dealer for some warranty work and they checked it out. The noise only happens occasionally, most often when one rear wheel drops into a dip or something and mostly in parking lots where the pavement has very small rolls. This is driving me crazy. Any suggestions?

Its a 2000 GSR.

I had that exact noise. It was an endlink bushing gone bad.. check all the rubber bushings.

 

speaking of noises... after driving forward for a while, when I backup, say, into a parking spot, I get a clunking noice when I hit my brakes. I suspect it's just my brake pads moving - as it coincides exactly with my hitting the brake peddle and I tend to hear it on all corners (sometimes on select corners). It only happens when backing up - and I don't need to be in reverse, as it does it when I'm on a hill and let the car roll backward.

I'm inclined not to worry about it, but since I'm posting this reply, I guess I'm curious if anyone else experiences this?
