Default code 41 resistor

On the PLX website, apparently you can attach a 20 ohm 10 watt resistor between the power and ground for o2 to not have a code 41 without the stock o2 sensor. Is this true? I tried it exactly and it didn't work.
What pins do I need to look at so I can double check?

thanks!
