Default Code 41 fixed: Now I got code 1!!!

Well, I took care of my hybrids code 41, primary heater circuit wiring...now I am getting code 1! **** me.....code 1 is either high or low voltage from the primary O2 sensor.

I wasn't getting that code when I was getting code 41.

I wonder if it could be from me not using shielded wire to power the O2 sensor heater? Do I need shielded wire?

Man, I am getting sick of this....

Code one usually means the O2 sensor is bad. Try a different one and see what happens

Default Update.

The things that cause code one can be(from the helms manual):

1. Short in Primary O2 circuit
2. Open in primary O2 circuit
3. Primary O2 sensor
4. Fuel Supply System
5. ECU

If code 1 comes on at deceleration it must be a high voltage problem...and it could only be 2, 3, or 5 from above. Upon WOT acceleration it must be the others.

Looking through the helms manual may have just told me something.

The 96-98 ECU's are looking for 1 volts at deceleration, and the 99+ ECU's look for 1.5 volts....there may be a difference in O2 sensors causing a voltage difference.

The same applies for WOT acceleration, the voltages are different for ECU's of the different years.

Hmmmmm....very interesting.

I may have to use my Hx's old secondary O2 sensor.
