Default First Kosei K1 cracking I've heard of. Funny topic too

Found these on my usual search on ebay for cheap parts I found this set of K1's. This is the first time I've ever heard of the K1's cracking so I thought it might be good to point out.

2 of the K1's are cracked, yet from the seller they are "easily repairable for $75". Looks like all you racers with cracked wheels and just get them fixed and keep on goin.

Cracks in the bead area? Curb damage maybe? All the wheel cracking I've seen from a racing point of view has been in the spoke or hub area. Maybe buy the set, keep 2 and get the scrap value of the aluminum for the other 2? Of course that probably is less than the shipping cost, so never mind.

17's with the rubber bands called tires, don't provide much protection from potholes, curbs, etc. Most racers I know would trash the cracked wheels and not look back.

Didn't notice the 17" part, nevermind, they are useless regardless of the condition.

I've only ever heard of 1 other set of 17in Koseis cracking and the owner swears up and down it was done by the tire shop while replacing tires. I know that even with a set of 15's with some azenis's I had a tire shop actually bend the lip of the rim getting it off.

These would be good buy for a wheel reapir place who could then sell the to a USTCC or similar team. It's not that hard to have stuff like that fixed, which I have had to do with several set's of TSW's in the past.
