quick coolant bypass question (yes i searched)

Default quick coolant bypass question (yes i searched)

should i cap off the little nipply things on the fiv?

Cap them off or connect them with a short hose. Don't forget to block off the ports from the FITV to the TB.

Fast idle between the throttle body is the only place you HAVE TO seal off. Leaving the nipples open won't do anything.

I just completely removed mine and blocked it off with an aluminum plate... Never had any problems...

so should i use like a piece of a coke can or something? lol


and would this potentially fix the 1700rpm idle that i have when its warm (just started to do this consistently today... yesterday i did the bypass, and today it does that)

I used a coke can and mine has been A-OK. I also covered the "nipples" on mine cause I have OCD. Looking at uncovered holes or threaded holes without screws in them drives me nuts.

This is a good mod.

the only reason i did it is b/c i hated seeing the iacv laying on the intake mani (skunk2)

and seeing nowhere to mount it, i just lengthened the iacv wires, hooked the hoses up and let it dangle. lol

the idle seems fine now, but only time will tell
