Default Mini-Me Gone Wrong. (Already Searched)

Heres the setup

90 Civic DX

Used Z6 head with an Si(A6) Intake manifold on a D15b2 block. Also, im using the CRX Si Dizzy(PM6) and a CRX Si ECU ( PM6) with a VAFC-II..

When you go to crank it over, the car just dies and completely losses power. You cant even turn the lights on, it has no power at all. Until you unplug the battery. The only thing I can think of is maybe during the DPFI to MPFI swap the 2 white wires on the dizzy got mixed up?? Could that cause this?

How's your timing? Is everything lined up?

and what wiring harness did use modded dx one or si u should of used the si it it wouldnt been so hard it already had the wire for the dizzy and injetcors alredy there just put resitor box on it clip every thing in.and if its a mini me swap u have to use vtec dizzy and vtec ecu the pm6 is a stock si ecu not vtec ecu
if it does run it and i mean if it does it wont have no vtec.check your ecu it will flash a code for crank angel sensor if it aint right.

If I've deciphered this post right, then no, if it's a DX chassis, using the DX harness and adding the necessary wires is much easier than using the Si harness in a DX chassis. As far as distributors and ecus, the main thing to remember is that you need to match the distributor to the ecu (i.e.- OBD0 distributor-OBD0 ecu, OBD1 distributor- OBD1 ecu).

Got everything running.. Sounds like the TPS sensors needs to be played with though. Now my question is can I wire up this VAFC II using a PM6 ECU if I just run the vtec wires coming from the VAFC straight to the Vtec soli and oil pressure?

i think you gotta use a cam gear with a 1.5 block or else the timing will be off a little

Why is that? How would the 1.5 block make the timing different? Ive done a minime on a D16A6 block with this same z6 head before and I used the exact same timing belt. The Z6 belt.

If you don't want timing to be off by half a tooth, you will need to use an adjustable cam gear to "correct" it. 1.6L engines are aligned slightly differently when at TDC than 1.5L engines.

try jumping your battery from a car thats running, and crank it over.

If it turns on, turn it off, and remove jumper cables. Try to turn it on. If it does not turn on, try tightining the battery terminals.

Check your tranny ground, and check to see if all the fuses under the hood are ok(im talking about the big fuses.

All this has happened to me on previous occasions.

PS: im doing the same swap but im using a skunk 2 cam gear. Let me know how it runs.
