i just ordered some 15x8 bogart wheels and trying to decide what size slicks to buy. i was looking at the MH 24.5x8.5x15 and 23x8.3x15. I have a ek hatch dropped with ls turbo 5 lug. I ordered spacers and extended studs with this setup. If i put stock springs back on would i be able to fit the 24.5x8.5x15. I am making about 250whp. which slick size is better for about 300-350whp?

 

Seen4ever is running 24x8's on 15"rims on his EG with no problems. Can't dump it very low though.

 

24.5's fit good w/ leftover clearance on my EG and it's on Eibach Sportlines.

im making about 260 whp, is that enough power to spin these big slicks?

 

i had a ek with 5 lug and 24.5x8.5x15 and they fit but if you dont have adjustables i think you will have probs

No flaring here w/ the sportlines

my car is only dropped maybe an 1in to 1.5in if that. its got 2 fingers of clearance.

but it works.

same size slicks on Team Dynamic's pro-race 1 15x7 wheels iwth a 35mm offset.





i could have gotten the offset to hug the tire more into the wheel well i guess, but either way, works out pretty nicely. never really hit the fender, but its ground the crap out of my front bumper a few times trying to get into the inner lane.

on the setup pictured, i was at 355whp& 245wlbs @ 14psi on 93 octane. I coudl still spin the crap out of them, but in all honestly, if i were you I'd atleast get these. Mainly because you have to have some kind of sidewall and 23in slicks won't give you crap for a sidewall.
