Default why can't 5th gen take out a 98 integra GSR

I've got AEM V2, DC Sports Header, Tanabe Exhaust on my H22 but i can't take out my buddy's Integra that has Injen CAI, DC spots Header, greddy Exhaust and AEM Pullies. its a close drag but what am i going to need to do to take him out without force induction i just need that little bit more. and will my 17inch rims effect my speed compared to my stock honda rims?

the 17 inch rims are slowing you down alot. Put on some stock rims or some lightweight rims and you'll probably be able to match him.

Well pound for pound my last g-sr was just a bit quicker then my current lude. But to tell you the truth i don't care because the ride of the lude is 10x better.

My prelude took out my friends type-R integra, he has his all bolt ons and all I got is intake and catback exhaust and 16' light black rims...I took him about 1/2 a car lenth, it's not the car, it might be you.....plus my lude is the base model, but I swapped the motor to a jdmh22...do you have the type SH?..someone told me that SH ludes weight 300lbs more than the base model...dunno if thats true...

maybe you also suck at driving ? yes giant 17's will slow you down. get some 16 inch light weight wheels, a better header, learn to drive a bit better and you should be able to take him.

And we all know you two are racing on the street which is a BAD idea. Please take it to a closed course.

yea, i'd have to say you probably need to practice. i've beaten a couple gsr's and i'm mostly stock. the 17's are definitely hurting you too. was this from a roll or stop?

what are you talking about! these two cars are basically dead even (with the slight advantage going to the lude)...

biggest factor: DRIVER

Yeah, the biggest factor is the driver. But I think that if he was close to the gsr with his 17 inch rims, getting a set of even stock rims would probably make him equal.

Since you didn't list trap speeds, reaction times nor 60ft times, I'm presuming you're street racing and that's Stunnariffic street racing doesn't have a place in this forum.

rim size has nothing to do with gearing, TIRE size does.

with the 17's he's hurting himself with the added rotating mass of 17" rims. whether it makes enough of a difference, i'm not sure, but it might.

With my stock h23a1 and now jdm f22b, ive taken bolt on's h22's (4th + 5th gens), and im all stock. its all the driver man. And integras and civics have really never posed a decent 'race'. At least not where im from. Maybe they suck at driving / shifting, and maybe im good? i dunno

same with brake upgrades, larger diameter rotor will net a loss in power. sportscar revolution on speed had a type-s dynoed where it loss power from a brake upgrade, it was 3-6whp through the power band.
