My wife and I sold our CRX and are in the process of selling our civic. Both had swaps with the usual I/H/E combos etc etc...What I'm wondering is what kind of benefits the F23 vtec Accords have the usual bolt-ons? I.E. Header, exhaust, intake....we hated to give up our civics but life demanded it....thanks for your time.

 

Not much at all. Please avoid an auto transmission attached to an F23...many people have problems with them.

You feel a lot quicker with I/E (I have Iceman & Apex'i WS) but I doubt you'd gain more than 15 bhp with those...so i'd say youd get 8-10 at the wheels, but an Accord is a wonderful car to daily drive in. I'd suggest suspension upgrades first so you really feel its potential, the basic bolt ons dont do much...

 

Suspension.... more suspension.... and then boost.
Only way to go for 6 gen.

 

with i/h/e, i dyno'd only a 10 hp gain at the crank...

 

i/e will be noisy and you'll sound faster, but it's not much difference.

Suspension mods do very nicely. Boost is fun but can be a lot of trouble. I'm on my 3rd motor already.
