After two years of skunk2s and tokico blues, i want a real coilover, the omnis run around 650 and look diesel. I want Teins but my motor build is costing a bit more than i expected. Does anyone have these in the crx and could shed some light on them for me ?

<~~Also looking into getting the Omni's. Anyone have any experience with them compared to TEIN's. I know there have been "vs." threads before but none of them really cover what I'm looking for. Thanks
Good question, I'm going to replace my shocks and springs this summer. My first choice is Koni Yellows and H&R OE springs. I do not want a huge drop or an overly stiff ride. Konis and springs will be $700+ so Omnipower are interesting. So what are the Omnipower's like?

I've been using the Omni EG coilovers on my CRX since before the EF model came out. I have the street model with 10k fronts 8k rears and since I haven't had the $$ for a rear sway yet, would probably like the rates swapped until then. They are a solid kit that performs well. They are very stiff but the shocks dampen well and they aren't bouncy. The street model is stiff enough for me, although I could stand the sports, I just don't feel its necessary.
One big recommendation is, on the EF, get some spherical bearings for the tie rods, urethane for all the sway bar bushings, and use OEM or mugen rubber for all other bushings. I didn't listen to the recommendations of others and got the full Energy Suspension kit which I completely regret now. The tie rod bushings do very little, as do the "boot" slip on bushings. All my other bushings creak whenever I move over a slight bump which wasn't a concern at first, since my car is noisy as hell, but later became an issue when a certain feel of play joined the noise whenever the bushings were cold.
I leave you all with a link to my writeup/review of the Omnis: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=973380

Can't wait to get em for my crx!! I think I might go with the sports. A friend has em in his eg and his car weighs about the same as mine and they arent that stiff to where its annoying

I've never looked into coil overs and I am still on the stock suspension. If I go with the street model will this drop the car at all?
<<<another CRX owner on the fence between the Omni's and the KONI yellow/Ground Control combo..i will more than likely get the koni/gc set up due to the fact, they have an impressive history/feedback from so many users worldwide and the option to choose exact spring rates
my buddy rick(Die-Laughing on here)is talking about getting the Omni's for his EF hatch so..i shall wait to hear his impression first

Did you get the reds or blacks? How long have you had em in and on what rates? I ordered the blacks since they have added graphite to lessen the noise but inlinefour sent me the reds... I didn't wanna wait another 2 weeks so I just used em.

I believe the Koni/GC combo is excellent as well, don't get me wrong. I just like short travel shocks with a preload personally, just seems like it should be that way =D If you do get the Koni/GC, make sure you get some of those GC upper shock mounts for the front.
Just threw on omnipower sports on my 92 eg its a little stiff but the control is awasome. if your just streeting your car go street if you HPDE and street do the sport model.
I have the Tein SS on my 98 GSR and I have blown the valves twice. They were good coil-overs in the day but i think their quality has gone way down.

I'm runing the Omni Sports. At first I thought they were bouncy but that was my error due to low tire pressure lol. I think you get way more than what you pay for them. They work really well. Way better than Tein Basics!
