Default How to clean engine bay

I'm about to clean my engine bay this weekend with a pressure washer. What parts should I cover?

Cover up the distributor, battery and any other exposed electrical parts. Spray some degreaser over the enginer (warmed up if possible) and spray away. You may also want to use a brush to get to areas that the washer didn't get. After everything is clean I like to use CD2 Engine protectant.

It's not bad, just make sure its not hot. I prefer it a little warm because I think it makes the dirt, grime and grease come off easier.

yeah,
do it with the engine WARM but not HOT
like after its run for a few minutes, but not after redlining it 5times on the way to the carwash : P

only thing I cover is my distributor and intake(i remove my shortram intake and plug up the tb with a rag).

What is CD2 Engine protectant?

It's basically a protectant that I spray on my engine. It protects as well as leaves a nice shine on the engine. It's labeled as CD2 Engine Detailer and I bought it at Autozone.
