i believe the injector clips are different, theres different clips for obd1 and obd2

Not just clips, but the injectors mechanically are different between 90-91 Tegs (OBD-O) and 92+ Tegs (OBD-I and OBD-II). OBD-O tegs (and civics) have peak and hold injectors whereas 92+ have saturated injectors.
