Default 99 Accord power door locks

Is there a way to keep the doors from locking after I start the car?

what do you mean? its a safety mechanism dont think you can disable it unless you pull the power door lock fuse or actuator connector from which ever door you dont want to auto lock... keep in mind it wont open with your keyless entry. youll have to turn the key.

If that is true it is bad news for me. I left the motor warming up for 2 minutes and the door swung closed and locked. Luckly the house wasn't locked and I was able to get a spare key.
I think if it has such a feature it should let me disable it.

It must have an aftermarket alarm system doing it.

Agreed. The factory alarm won't automatically lock the door like that. You can take the car to any place that installs alarms and they should be able to remove the aftermarket alarm.
