Default To tune my car... what do I need?

I've been wanting to get more power out of my Greddy-turboed Civic for quite some time now, and so I would like to get my car tuned. However, I have only the GReddy kit w/ the Type 24 IC, and the AVC-R boost controller. I'm assuming I will need to get a cam gear, but what other provisions do I have or will I need to get? I'm interested in 9psi daily driven, while still using a mechanical FMU. I'm just not sure what the tuner could adjust to fine tune my car! Any ideas??

I don't think an AVC-R tunes fuel, just boost......get an AFC or VAFC.

yeah, get the VAFC ... allows you to adjust the fuel curve @ different points along the rpm band. have you swapped out any of your stock fuel components like the injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, etc...?

If you want to go ultimate... get a stand alone like hondata.. but if you're only planning on going up to 9psi, it might be over kill. still, to hit 9psi on a stock civic block, you're gonna need some tuning

what about the Greddy E-manage? is that thing out yet? I've heard very little about it, but what I've heard is that its supposed to be "plug-and-play" and it's designed to work along side the Greddy turbo system.

I would try to get some info on the Greddy E-manage, It may work better than a VAFC.

Injectors are stock, as is the fuel rail. Fuel pump is the BBK/Walbro 255lph.

I do want to go Hondata... but that's up there in price... then I'd have to upgrade my injectors too... Dinero just isn't looking that good these days...

Dude, to get the most from your car, you'll need to get it dyno tuned with a wide-band O2 sensor to ensure you're running at the right A/F ratio to make optimal power. Granted with the GReddy FCU it's kinda pointless because you can't change it's setting, so I'd suggest ditching it for a larger injector setup. Maybe some 370's with an AFC for tuning? So long as you're on the GReddy FCU though, your pretty much stuck with whatever it wants to do..
