how many cans did it take? i was thinking of just doing a simple flat black give it that stealth look. also was wondering how you guys did it. if you pulled the individual body panels off, or if you just masked everything and left em on the car.

 

I used about 5 or 6 cans had to do the hood twice cause I went to fast the first time. I only removed the hood but I did do my work in sections but I masked off mostly everything. I also used semi flat kyrlon and I wet sanded it all down when I was done so it would still be smooth as a regular finish. If you have the money and really want flat black have it professionally sprayed it will have a better look to it. I'll probably have the hatch painted this summer after we buy a house so its not a permanent paint job for me. I've enjoyed it, looks good and its easily paint matched search around in the appearance forum there are a few topics covering this subject and a few decent flat colored pictures of a few types of cars.

 

im currently painting my car...im down to five right now but i still have to put two more layers on my hood...its gonna be six cans i guess.

 

I left everything on the car and masked off what I didn't want to paint I also used semi-flat and would suggest that over completely flat black. It took me about 7-10 cans and I coated everything twice

Do you want stealth so you can go around stealing stuff?
Or do you just want semi's to not be able to see you and run you over.

 

i masked off the windows and lights. took me 12 cans. went over everything two or three times. the car is in my sig.

 

helll nawwws. i dont steal :D. im not down for that ****. i just think a nice flat black color would really compliment my bronze rims.
