fan wont turn off, drains the battery
Welly my buddy has a 92 DA integra and the last week or so the radiator fan wont shut off and drains the bettery to nothing. If u charge the battery, then put it in i guess the fan turns on u dont even have to run the car, does it when its cold. Could this be the temp sensor on the head(brass looking plus) giving the wrong signal thinking the motor is warm? could it be worn out? what do you guys think?
When it's cold, check continuity thru that fan switch. If it's an open circuit, you're OK.
I guess(?) '92 is old enough to have that fan timer module in addition to the 2 relays. That can screw up & run the fans forever. I've been suggesting this several times here, but nobody ever posts back & says they've checked it out...
