Painting my new winter rims and playing with my new a85
Just got the camera last week so I'm still learning. No tripod, suto setting w flash off and resolution set too high. DoH! Anyways, just picked these rims and tires up tonight for $150.00, woot. Good tires and 14inch Eagle somethings, pretty light and clean. Enough Jabber, here are the pics.
Supplies. Not shown is the primer.
All cleaned up!
Taped, Carded and scuffed...ready for primer.
All primered up. Light first coat, Heavy second.
Painted, again light first layer and heavier 2 and 3rd coats.
Decided to wait up for them..this is them done, cleared and about 95% dried. I am very please with them. I'll put them on tomorrow and plan on doing a shoot with the camera tomorrow night..with a tripod.
Final outcome:
Questions and Comments welcomed...I think they turned out great and I have quite afew step pictures, might make this a write up.

Lookin really good Nick. Thats about what I had planned for them, only I was thinkin about maybe gunmetal.....love that lip
I ended up stumbling on to a set of fat 5s with pretty worn Nitto 450s for $175.....they'll prolly get gunmetaled
