Reason I ask is I May Be buying a 96 b18b to replace my damaged 97 b18b and i just want to be sure that the 96 has the crank sensor(the one attached to the oil pump) Also are any other sensors different/missing from the 96 that the 97 would have?

yes it does. Since both motors are OBD-2 they share the same connections
