mini me HELP! d15b8 / Z6 ? would it work?

Default mini me HELP! d15b8 / Z6 ? would it work?

i have a 92 civic cx(d15b8) w/ the 8 valve head, im wondering if i can slap a z6 head on there (mini me) or will i have clearence problems? i know some old 8 valve engines came w/ 16 valve reliefs....if ya know pass on the wizdom

i know it would work if i get new pistions but could it work w/ the existing ones?

if they have the slots on both sides like 16 valve pistons yes.
if not, then you are gonna have to replace alot of stuff if you try it.
slots are there for a reason which is to allow the pistons and valves to have clearence

what year is ur d15b8. mine was a 93.
u dont need to change out the piston. the cx block has a 16 valve relief. ur sets. just drop in the head , take out the oil jet. if u need help just pm me or watever, cuz i did a mini me setup on my cx block, with z6 head, z6 IM with tb, chipped p05 ecu to p08 specs with the 1 wire o2 sensor.

great setup, u can keep up with b16 delsol /coupe and ls
