can i turbo charge a jdm b16a2 motor and still keep the stock pistons and whats the best turbo kit for this motor

the only jdm b16s are b16a and b16b there is no jdm b16a2 you have a usdm 99-00 si motor and yes it can be boosted and it depends on what your plans are

There are B16A2's motors in existence as well.

You can turbo the B16. There is no "best kit" as it depends on your goals, and your tuning.

Arghh impossible I say the motor don't exist!

But when you look for a turbo kit make sure you get a bov, and an intercooler, you'll have to pay more, but honestly i woudln't run my car without those two. Have you considered piecing together your own turbo kit? you can save a LOT of money on it by buying the pieces yourself. Especially if you get the used parts.

You can keep stock pistons if you run mild boost. Look around at different turbo kits and see wich one fits your needs. In my opinion the best turbo kit for the money is a rev-hard kit.

Dude, just selling the engine and save up for a k20 it is so much more reliable than a turbo charged b-series engine.

Turbo's on Honda can be fun but $$ if you don't know what ur doin.If i would go turbo go rev-hard reel good fo the $$ just run like 4 or 5 pounds. Word of advice go NA aluminum waz never ment to be boosted just thoughts on this
