Default Motorcycle Movies

I've been itching to pick up some good riding videos (stunt, race, documentary, etc, more stunt right now than anything), & start a decent collection.

So I was thinking what better to way to save time and money than to have everyone post up something we personally own or have seen and would recommend to the rest of us.

I was going to start a poll but you can only vote once, so this is how its going to work. Post up the following:

1) Movie title.
2) Where you got it.
3) Price.
4) What about the flick you liked or disliked.
--------------------------------------------------

I'll start.

Faster 2-disc combo pack.
Vance & Hines store on Beverly and Norwalk in Whittier.
$26.99.
Ewan MacGregor narrates. Great footage of the MotoGP tracks, riders, bikes, and crews. The personal interviews help draw you into the riders as people. Nowhere else will you, outside of being there in person, get the inside look into what it takes to ride one these machines, compete, and be able to do it weekend after weekend! Close-ups of all of your favorite bikes and latest technology.

Bonus: Interactive racing allows you to change angles as the riders are racing to see first person front, rear & TV views.

This is for the pure racing enthusiast so no girls gone wild or stunting here, which I am glad as it does not distract nor distort the purity of the documentary.

Faster / Faster & Louder `03-`04......delivers.

On Any Sunday
Got it as a gift
Documentary about motorcycle racing in the late '60s-early '70s. Made by Bruce Brown (did "Endless Summer," and features top motorcycle racers of the day, as well as Steve McQueen. The soundtrack and narration can be downright hilarious, but it's definitely a great movie.

One Man's Island
http://www.onemansisland.com (has a trailer on the site)
Can't remember the price.

It the documentary of a guy named Mark Gardiner who gave up his job, home and life-savings for a chance to ride in the Isle of Man TT. I loved it because it wasn't just a movie for motorcyclists, you got to see a man's give up his "normal life" to chase after a boyhood dream. It's not something you see often and especially to go do something as dangerous as racing a motorcycle around a tiny island on a two lane road.

My brother and I both ride. I loved the movie and he hated it. He kept asking when something fun was going to happen. He likes action and I like a good story. If you looking for a stunting movie with ***** and lots of action don't pick this one up.

Yeah thanks for the link. I'll check it out next time. Fortunately for me I didn't pay for it. I just borrowed and ripped it! By comparing notes we can narrow down the good places to buy.

So far, so good. Let's try not to forget the rest of the details. Namely:

1) Movie title.
2) Where you got it.
3) Price.
4) What about the flick you liked or disliked.

**I guess I should have made the disclaimer for Biker Boyz and Torque, 2F2F motorcycle equivalents . Let's keep it real here and avoid discussion of titles whose cover shows a superbike jumping from train car to train car! The idea is to vouch for your favorite movies, titles worthy of $$. If I spent my hard earned cash on either of those I would personally dismiss myself from this thread.

I havent see The Motorcycle Diaries but its getting rave reviews. It is based on the notes written by Che Guevara, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Che_Guevara
apparently he rode a motorcycle all over south america before he became a revolutionary. http://news.nationalgeographic....html

Its in Spanish but has english subtitles, and i got it off the internet for free.

I saw and loved it. Though I've found that talking about Che gets some interesting reactions from people who remember him as the U.S. media portrayed him in his later years as the Cuban freedom fighter.

I had to push my bike home one time and I couldn't help but think of Che and his friend both pushing their bike through the snowy backcountry raods and how heavy that baby was. Haha.

My favorite movie of the year by far

It's not focused on motorcycles like the title would suggest though. It's the story of Che's transformation into the man the world knew him as. If you like philosophy you'll love this movie
