Default Fuse Block in engine compartment

I have been having some random problems nothing big, just newsense stuff and I was looking at the fuse block on the passenger side strut tower, and noticed that it looks to be a little bit melted where some wires are comming in or going out.

Majestic Parts Online has them with everything, fuses, relays, etc etc for i think around 150.00

Good idea?

i can't post pics

BUT....

If you are standing at the passenger side fender with your head directly above the fuse box, it is melted on the right side, the box itself is what is melted, and not the harness plugs. And no smelling of burnt plastic, but i dont know how long it has been like that, perhaps previous owner.

i'd say if it isn't melted to the point of showing connectors or wiring just leave it. I would keep an eye on it to see if it is infact getting worse some how... if thats the case i would buy a new fuse box from a junk yard for much less than $150

How long have you had the car? can you contact the previous owner to ask about the melted plastic?

does it look like there was anything else melted?
