Default >>>>> Need Help Installing Front & Rear Lip <<<<<

Hi yall :0)

Well, the weather has been nice(er) and warming up and, honestly,
I'm tired of looking at my lips on the kitchen floor, EVERYDAY, since November.
My bro is starting to bitch at me, too. SOOOO
I need to install these babies, ASAP.

Now, I have folks that can tell me how to do it,
but :
1- I don't want to bother /burden anyone (plus, they are all busy ).
2- I want to install it myself.

PRE-PREP:
FRONT- Got it new, have screws and tape.
REAR- Used, already painted (Need to remove the old tape with goo-gone ****).

My question is, do I have to remove either bumpers to install the lip(s)...?

And if so, how do I go about doing this?

Sorry for n00b Q, but I want to do this myself and do it soon, becoz they are sitting in my kitchen... and I just need to install them already

If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate any advice.

Thanks, guys.

well technically, it would be easier to leave the bumper on, but there's more room to work if you have the bumper off.. i always take off my bumper when i install my lip.

what kinda lip are you installing? an si lip? oem or aftermarket?

as far as taking off the front bumper, there's like 7 clips at the top of the bumper under the hood, 5 along the grill, 2 on the bumper. 2 screws holding the bumper by the fender and like 3 10mm bolts under the car. there's like 10-13 bolts to hold up the si lip. ****'s cake. pm me if you have anymore questions.

Ok..... well..... the
Front lip is OEM SI Style in CF ,Japan.
Rear lip is OEM Style ,Aftermarket.

Yes, I understand it would be more convenient to remove the front bumper...
I guess I was just hoping I could find a way around it....

I am thinking maybe remove the front bumper and leaving the rear bumper on for install. Does that sound ok?

The front sounds like enough hassle.... I don't even wanna **** with the rear.....

I guess I am gonna check those 7 clips...???

So, do I need tools to remove the "clips"...?

I just want to know what I am going to be screwing and what tools I need.

I guess I'll go look at it right now............

yeah, you can leave the rear on. i don't know how to take off coupe rear bumpers. for the clips, you just need a flat head to pop out the middle thing. all you're gonna need is a ratchet, a 10mm(maybe 12) socket, a flathead and a phillips screwdriver

haha you looked at it right? it's actually really simple, i've lost like almost all the clips. after you take off your front bumper for the first time it becomes easy, look out for that piece of styrofoam that goes on your front bumper support, you gotta put that back for the bumper to line up.

Dont take your bumper off to install a couple lips....my front lip took me about 5mins to install. It's one of the most obvious and easiest things to install on a car.
