Unless your car is rattle canned white, it probably wont match very well. Leave them black unless you can paint them with the same paint you used to paint the car.

personally, I enjoy colormatched more often than not. depends on the color scheme of the car though - and colormatching MUST be perfect...use the paint code in the doorjam.

some shitty old pics of one of my rides colormatched then the bottom trim stripped in the last pic (hated that)

Keep them black!! Usually to me color matching makes the car look cheaper. I like the clean oem look.

previous owner color matched the moulding on my car and it is gay as hell. When i get my thumb out of my *** i might get around to stripping it back to black. If your gonna do it though, make sure to hit it with some 600/800 grit paper to give it somethign to stick to.

If you decide to paint them, paint match, sand, primer, and clear coat ($$$). Anything else will run the risk of lookin' like ****.

If you decide to keep them black, you can freshen them up with a coat of special black spray paint that matches the look of plastic. There was a thread about that a while ago, and looked awesom (wonder how the paint held up). If some of the mouldings are cracked down to the metal, stip them off, sand, primer & then paint. That will keep 'em lookin' good for a long time...

And to the guy above, the line in the movie was "Once you go black, your gonna need a wheel chair."

Thanks alot. The 2 car garage is attatched to the left and the heated shop can fit about 4-5 cars. I'm quite lucky.
