Drift or HPDE in the 240?

I damn well had better be there. My car has been apart for way too long. I should be getting my motor back together this week and have it in by the end of next week hopefully. If everything goes well and I can pass tech, it'll be my first H4 race.

It should be a good event for H4 since I think we'll have Danny, Travis, Jon and I all there. Right guys? It looks like we might even be in store for 1 or 2 more cars in the class by the end of the year. I figure the more H4 cars we get, the better my chance is of not being the slowest car in the class (field?). As for right now, it's not looking good.

Yo Gabe -

I'm sitting Feb out cause the car and the bank account are still in pieces. Are you going to make the March event? I saw that you finally got your ITR head on (ARP head stud post, might have been on team-integra). How's the car running?

BTW - When are you gonna change your name to RedHatch? :-p

See ya out there,
Scott

Scott: I feel you on the bank account thing.
Yeah, I should be at the March event too (NASA, not pasa). The ITR head is on but I haven't actually had a chance to turn the car over because I ran into 2 'small' problems that turned into time consuming PITAs. First was a fuel line leak that first began leaking at the end of the fuel rail near the banjo bolt, bought a new rail here locally and fixed that leak.....then the leak moved to the injector/fuel rail seal, pirated a seal off of some injectors I had laying around, problem solved. Second was the PVC system, which you saw my post on, problem is hopefully fixed now thanks to a super ghetto tubing job and custom nipple JB welded to the valve cover. =p

Hopefully I'll turn the car over tonight and nothing will grenade [crosses fingers], then take the car to Joe on Saturday to have it tuned.

I might be ready to track in march, now I have to decided PASA at East? or NASA at PIR???

East will probably win since PIR will be there in April and May....etc etc.....

If my car isn't ready by March I'm officially done racing, so lets hope I run into no problems. I towed the car back up to Scottsdale this week so that I can actually work on the car when ever I feel like it. It was taking to long to coordinate everything and finish it with it down at Landspeed. Lets just say my buddies apartment garage just got owned.

Looks like my GSR has become my track car for now, we'll see what happens, tranny issues/decision to run H4 have come into play so now it's a matter of either A. getting the tranny issues sorted out or B. getting a good SOHC swap back in my CRX and starting to get it ready for Honda-Challenge in 06. I got a new job and will be working closely with NASA as I always have in doing tech inspections.

Note:
The tech inspections everyone hates showing up early for and missing drivers meetings for are going to be moved to various shops in the valley very soon. You will still need to let myself or Brett check your helmet at the track, which will take very little of your time. There will be more details as the event gets closer. We are trying to make this easy for everyone, there should be roughly 6 or 7 shops across the valley that will do this. I will also be willing to do annual tech for the Tucson peeps that are racing whenever they get to town, you guys truck it all the way up here...I'm more than happy to come to you.

integras suck *** on track.

on another note, cool that people will be able to tech their cars ahead of time -- assuming that anyone is actually able to get their car READY ahead of time.

PM Brandon about a camera mount, his was pretty good, and he might let you use it as his CTR seats are similar to the ones in your RSX Mando. I'll have some video footage from Willow Springs after next weekend...

I will pm him, but I am not sure if it will work. His recaros had like to small areas to place the mount, mine is open all the way, plus how does it work if I have a passenger with me? can I still use the mount?

This will be my first time out at PIR (as long as the bills are paid) and was wondering what type of speeds we are seeing on the front straight before turn 1 and the back straight before turn 3? What are the typical laptimes for the road course?

depending on your knowledge of the course, and the power of your car, speeds of between 100-125 before braking before turn 1.

I was toping out fourth gear on the straight before going into turn one. I didnt have a chance to look at the speedometer because I was to busy listening to dan/jeff tell me to watch the road instead.

It was my first time on PIR, but its a fun track.
